Bauhaus: The Transformation of Art and Design

Going behind the glass façade of the typical Bauhaus building, discover how the movement’s founder, architect Walter Gropius, and his colleagues established the 20th century’s most influential school of art, architecture and design. Their pioneering mission was to merge art and industry through education. We’ll spend time investigating the school’s radical curriculum and discover how the eccentric personalities of the experts inspired their students’ creative potential. We’ll examine some of the iconic objects produced by its trailblazing artists.

We’ll trace the steps of the Bauhaus emigres and see how, despite the odds, they ensured that the Bauhaus principles continue to have a major influence on architecture and design.
